About Geku Automation

Geku

The company began back in the 1980’s offering service, programming and application support to Cincinnati Milacron robot users. Today, we still support customers with Cincinnati Robots, some of which have been in production over 30 years. In 1997 the owners, John Hudson and Nigel Richardson, who between them account for over 50 years’ experience in the robotic automation industry formed Geku UK. Our first robot partner, GeKu Automatisierungssysteme, was a German 3 axis robot and automation supplier and as a result, GeKu Automation was formed.

The name GeKu comes from this first robot partner – a compilation derived from the names of German pioneers Thorsten Gerling and Uwe Kusse who designed and manufactured the GeKu cartesian robot, which is still commonly used in the plastics manufacturing industry.

From our headquarters based in StroodKent, the company has grown over time and Geku have emerged as leading automation systems supplier becoming a preferred integrator and elite Added Value Provider for one of the world’s leading robot suppliers to the manufacturing industry,  ABB Robotics.

Our wealth of experience and knowledge of robotics & automation allows us to offer the best technical solution and select the most suitable robot to integrate for any given application, using Cartesian, 6 axis Industrial or Collaborative robots wherever appropriate. From our headquarters based in StroodKent,  we design, build and test al our automation systems, selecting the most appropriate robot and robot supplier for the application , providing automation solutions for all sectors of industry.
