Flame Treatment

Geku Automation have installed a number of Flame Treatment systems into leading Tier One  Automotive  Component suppliers.

The cell is equipped with an ABB 2400 robot holding an Aerogen plasma flame gun. An operator loads a dashboard onto an automatic clamping fixture and steps out of the safety light curtain. The part is then indexed on a servo driven turntable and presented to the robot for flame treatment.

Using sensors on the fixturing, the robot is able to identify and flame treat the left or right hand drive dashboards.

Key Benefits:
  • Components repeatedly flame treated accurately
  • Hazardous process overcome using robotic automation
