Inroducing The New STXT GeKu Robot System
The new STXT Cartesian robot from Geku is a unique concept offering unprecedented flexibility when compared to more conventional "Beam" type robots.
The system includes a 3 axis cartesian robot, with the major traverse axis installed lengthways above the injection moulding machine. The Z axis beam (side ways movement towards and away from the press) has a telescopic traverse system allowing the robot arm to access any position either side of the main beam. This greatly expands the working envelope of the robot, this being limited only by the length of the two main traverse axis.
Secondary handling can be installed anywhere within the envelope and when modular workstations are introduced, these can be changed quickly to accommodate variable tasks ensuring best possible utilisation of the installed automation.
As well as injection moulding, the STXT can be used in a range applications including palletising, product handling or any project where a large working envelope is required.
